Blue mosque ( 1603-1617 ) The mosque is known as Blue mosque because of blue tiles surrounding the walls of the interior. It is one of the most popular mosques of Istanbul and also a popular tourist attraction.

Hagia Sophia (532-537) Hagia Sophia is the one of the most visited museums in the world. It served as a church in the Byzantine era. Once a mosque in the Ottoman era, now it is a museum since 1935.

Byzantine Hippodroma The Hippodroma was the heart of the civil activities like rebellions, fightings, horse racings allowing 30 to 40 thousand people to watch during the Byzantium era. When the Ottomans took over, it was also used for the same purpose.

Basilica Cistern (527-565) The Cistern was built to provide water for the city of Istanbul during the reign of emperor Justinian in the 6th century CE.

Topkapi palace (1466-1478) The Topkapi palace was the large complex where sultans were living with their families and staff as well as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire. It was also the political center of the empire. It is one of the biggest sites to visit in istanbul
